Lab Assignment 0: In-class introduction to Maple

Lab Assignment 1 (due after 2 weeks)

1. Do all examples in 6.1 and 6.2.
2. Do exercise 1 of 6.5 with the two functions f(x) = 7 ln(x) and g(x) = 4 - 3x instead.
3. Do exercise 2 of 6.5 with f(x) = 7 ln(x) and g(x) = 4 - 3x instead.
4. Do exercise 2b of 6.5 via both washer and shell methods.
5. Hand in a hard copy to your TA.

   Lab Assignment 2 (due after 2 weeks)

   1. Do all examples in 5.5 and 5.6.
   2. Do exercise 10 of 5.8.
   3. Do exercise 16 of 5.8.
   4. Do exercise 17 of 5.8 with Trapezoidal Rule and Error instead of Simpson's Rule and Error.
   5. Hand in a hard copy to your TA.

   Lab Assignment 3 (due after 2 weeks)

   1. Do all examples in 7.1, 7.2, and 7.3.
   2. Do exercise 1 of 7.6.
   3. Do exercise 5 of 7.6.
   4. Do exercise 6 of 7.6.
   5. Hand in a hard copy to your TA.

   Lab Assignment 4 (due after 2 weeks)

   Help for Lab 4

   Start from the very beginning of chapter 8!
   1. Do all examples in 8.1 and 8.2.
   2. Do exercise 1 of 8.7 and interpret the result.
   3. Do exercise 5 of 8.7 and interpret the result.
   4. Do exercise 6 of 8.7. (Use the help file on this one!)
   5. Hand in a hard copy to your TA.

   Lab Assignment 5 (due after 2 weeks)

   1. Do all examples in 8.5.
   2. Do exercise 22 of 8.7.
   3. Do exercise 23 of 8.7.
   4. Do exercise 24 of 8.7.
   5. Do exercise 25 of 8.7.
   6. Hand in a hard copy to your TA.

   Lab assignment 6: (due after 2 weeks)

   • Project from chapters 12 and 13.
