Math 152/STEPS: Hot Topics for Tue, 15/Jan/2008
- In your computer lab today, set up your Linux MATLAB environment
for CalcLab. Here
are instructions. (This
is the electronic version of the white paper handout I gave you in lecture
on Monday at the end of class. Your TA has a few extra copies.)
- Once you finish your setup, begin working
on MATLAB Assignment
1. Most of the problems are from your MATLAB lab manual, the 3rd
Edition of Gilat. Its 13-digit ISBN is 978-0-470-10877-2.
- For tomorrow, read Section 7.1 in Stewart ("Areas Between
Curves") as well as the
corresponding lecture.
[Optionally view the associated
TI-89 video if you are interested. Do this in a TAMU open access
lab or on your home computer. Here are
instructions.]
- I have office hours today in Blocker 601J between 8:30-10:00
am. Feel free to stop by for my TAMUCALC package for your TI-89 if
you wish.
- MATLAB help session meets tonight in Blocker 131 between
7:00-10:00 pm. The lab staff will be happy to help you with
Assignment 1.
Please send comments, questions, or suggestions regarding agendas
to Art Belmonte at
