Math 253/504-506: Hot Topics for Wed, 28/Nov/2007

1. EXAM 4A over sections 14.1-14.4 is TODAY in lecture between 9:05-10:05 am (60 minutes).
   • Write down ALL your work in your blue book---not on your exam sheet.
   • When you finish, place your yellow exam sheet inside the front cover of your blue book.
   • Place your blue book in the appropriate section pile on the front desk.
   • Leave quietly so that your classmates may continue to work...
   
   
2. I will NOT have office hours today since I'll be grading your exams straight through lunchtime and into the afternoon (along with the Math 151 Common Exam 3).
   
   
3. Exam 4 will be split over two days in Heldenfels 113 this week as follows. This will give you more time to take it and us more time to spread out the grading. Accordingly, you will need two BLUE BOOKS, one for each part.
   • Wed, 28/Nov, 9:05-10:05 am: X4A covers 14.1-14.4; four problems (TODAY).
   • Thu, 29/Nov: NO COMPUTER LABS! We'll be grading Math 151 and 253 exams all day.
   • Go to MATLAB help sessions this week between 7:00-10:00 pm in the evening.
   • For paper-and-pencil help, go to the Calc 3 help sessions on Wednesday and Thursday evenings in Blocker.
   • You may also view the Chapter 14 calculator videos.
   • Fri, 30/Nov, 9:05-10:05 am: X4B covers 14.5-14.9; four problems.
   • Combined Exam 4 scores will be returned on Monday, 03/Dec, with your blue books.
   • I recommend buying an extra set of four (4) AAA alkaline batteries for the final assault!
   
   
4. Continue work on MATLAB Assignment 10. It is due on Tue, 04/Dec, at the start of computer lab. (Yes, campers, said date is redefined as a THURSDAY. Accordingly, you will meet your TA one last time in your computer lab room).
