Questions and Answers

• How to connect to the calclab network?

  If you want to connect to the calclab network from your home computer (or from anywhere outside the university network) use ssh. Especially, if your system is Windows use putty(ssh client). To connect to calclab from TAMU open a terminal window and type

  slogin machine.math.tamu.edu -l user ,

  where machine is one of the calclab servers (e.g. calclab1, bloc126-13, etc) and user is the login name from the password slips (e.g. d-nam).

• When 'a.out' is not executed...

  After you compile and link your source codes successfully, the 'a.out' file will be generated. It can happen that the 'a.out' file isn't executed due to the path problem. To avoid this situation, you should type './a.out' on the command line instead of 'a.out' only.
