Reading

Read Chapters 5 and 6. Beware of a few misprints and foibles:

• Page 222 uses the concept of "defect", which is not defined until p. 252. (See the last exercise below.)
• Page 254, line ll: Angle C should be Angle C'. (In line 13, it really should be Angle C.)
• Page 260: The last paragraph of the proof of Prop. 6.6 seems to have migrated to the end of the next proof ("To prove symmetry ...", pp. 261-262).
