• 30 Sep: Due date for the revision of Paper 1 is postponed to Monday, 12 Oct.
• 26 Sep: The policy statement about the midterm exam is now posted below. Fall '09 solutions for Homework 3 have been turned on.
• 23 Sep:
  1. A proof of all the parts of Prop. 3.13 has been installed below.
  2. Homework solutions for the first two assignments are now visible on the Fall 2009 class page.
  3. Likewise, solutions for the class exercises from Chap. 3 are now visible on some of the old class pages (2009-2013).
  4. Watch this space over the next week for more information relevant to the midterm exam.
• 20 Sep: Announcement of Math Club meeting Monday, Sept. 28.
• 12 Sep: The midterm test is on Friday, Oct. 2! (The syllabus says "Friday, Oct. 1", which does not exist. October 1 is, of course, not a class day for us.)
• 28 Aug: Effective Sept. 4, the Friday office hour will start at 10:30.
