   pp. 114-115, Exercises 1, 6, 14, 17
   Remarks:
   • #3.8: See pp. 8-9 of Allen's chapter on Archimedes for a streamlined statement of the problem. Note that what Katz calls "vertex of the segment" is not necessarily what we nowadays call "vertex of the parabola", although in Katz's diagram it appears to be.
   • #4.1: "the measure of his father's life" means the father's age when the father died, not when the son died.
