Hello.  Collectively, you did fairly well on the first test.  The grades 
will be posted on Vista before the end of the day (Monday).

Everyone in the course (M. 151) got an extra 8 points.  The grade you will 
see in Vista ALREADY INCLUDES these 8 points.  The reason is that the 
faculty decided, after looking again at the textbook, that the "falling 
car" question was premature; Stewart has not yet discussed what 
acceleration is or how to calculate distance from acceleration.  About 
half of you already understood the question on the basis of prior 
information (from physics courses or wherever), so in effect you got 
double credit on that problem.
