Your browser should have been configured when you installed Maple. To make sure, click on Sample Maplet
If Internet Explorer asks to open or save the Maplet, uncheck Always ask before opening this type of file and click Open.
Click on Sample Maplet. If a maplet window opens automatically, you do not need to configure your browser. If you see the dialog to the right, follow these instructions:
If no dialog appeared and the file was saved to your Downloads folder, please follow these instructions:
After configuring your browser, click on Sample Maplet again. The Maplet should now launch automatically.
Unfortunately, Chrome will not work if the Maplets are installed on your local computer. Please use a different browser.
If you are using Chrome to access Maplets for Calculus from a remote server, you can check its installation with the following instructions:
Unfortunately, Safari will not work if the Maplets are installed on your local computer. Please use a different browser.
However, Safari will work with the online version of Maplets for Calculus. You will need to open them manually from your Downloads folder.
Maple 11.01 and later already have the Maplet Launcher.
If you have an older version of Maple (11.00 and earlier), please download and extract Maplet Launcher.app.zip into your Applications folder.

Using ClearType to smooth the edges of screen fonts is known to cause problems displaying symbols in Maplets for Calculus. For example, π displays as p, and φ displays as j.
To correct this problem, please follow the instructions below for your operating system:
