MATH 151-540 -- MORE ANNOUNCEMENTS 1. Gosh, here I thought you were all hard at work on the automated homework for Weeks 2 through 4, and now I find out that it hasn't been there. I'm sorry, that was the result of miscommunication between Dr. Epstein and me. She has now put those three assignments into our list, with later due dates than the other M. 151 sections had. However, because the assignments refer to this week's test, the deadline is still imminent (this Wednesday)! 2. By now you should have received an invitation to take an anonymous survey about this web-based course. Please do it. This is your chance to give frank suggestions about how to improve the system. (Not that all of your wishes can be accommodated, of course.) There is a space for written comments in addition to multiple-choice responses. (You can wait until after the test and this spate of homework, but not long thereafter.) 3. Before the end of this afternoon (Sunday) I expect to have the lecture on the chain rule (and trig functions) posted, along with a revision of the last example in last week's lecture. Part of this week's lecture duplicates the part taken out of last week's, for the sake of posterity (in case I ever teach this way again). I apologize for taking so long to get this right, but actually the incident serves the purpose of illustrating several good points about the chain rule. 4. I look forward to meeting you on Thursday evening, and I sincerely wish you success on the test. Remember that CALCULATORS ARE NOT ALLOWED, according to a course-wide policy.
